Common questions

Questions about the Edgbaston clinic

Which treatments are available at The Priory Hospital?

Dr Salama offers the same consultant assessment and the same range of treatments at all of his clinic locations, including epidurals, facet joint and nerve root injections, joint injections and radiofrequency denervation. Whether a procedure is suitable is decided after assessment.

Are these the times for injections too?

No. The times on this page are consultation times. If a procedure is recommended, it is scheduled separately on the hospital's procedure list, and the date will be agreed with you.

Is there an evening clinic?

Yes. Dr Salama's Wednesday clinic at The Priory runs from 18:00 to 20:00, which many patients find easier to attend around work.

Do I need a GP referral?

A GP referral is welcomed but not always required. If you are using private medical insurance, your insurer may ask for one and for an authorisation code before your appointment.

Can I pay for myself?

Yes. Insured and self-funding patients are both welcome. Consultation fees are listed on this website, and procedure prices are confirmed by the hospital before treatment.
